November 3, 2005 MEETING - (Approved December, 2005)
1. The Chair B. Ware brought the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in the Township Hall. He welcomed the Commission Members that were present.
2. Members present: B.Ware, J.Crampton, A.Swanson, D.McNeilly, J.Mathieu, N.Girven, Zoning Administrator.
Members absent: B.Ledford, S. Hansen. Visitors: none present.
3. Agenda.
The Chair presented the proposed agenda and after review it was approved as presented with a motion by A.Swanson, seconded by J.Crampton.
4. Minutes.
A motion to approve the October 3, 2005 Reguar Minutes as corrected was made by D.McNeilly. Seconded J.Crampton. All ayes.
5. New business / correspondence.
A brochure from MSU Extension for a meeting about innovative techniques in land planning and riparian rights November 30, 2005 was presented and five members signed up. To be held in the Manistee County Road Commission's new conference room. A questionnaire was received on area planning using environmental techniques was received. Secretary will fill out and return.
6. Unfinished business.
The Multi-jurisdictional cooperative planning unit did not have a meeting October 4, as planned. Village could not come. Bernie and Jean will not be in an area after mid-December. Jean will not return until late April or so.
7. Other business \ ongoing business.
The Zoning Administrator reported three land use permits issued and asked for back-up members on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Zoning Administrator will send a six month extension request for a personal land use permit not yet completed.
Three DEQ permits for shoreline improvements were looked at by the commission. Some questions on the need for review by the group.
B.Ware reported he had been contacted by a Telecom company for lease of his land for 250 foot tower. He denied the request.
8. Tracking future action.
Sewer Planning: The November and December meetings been cancelled. The local workers for passage are working throughout the winter to get petitions signed.
Land Conservancy: B.Ware attended a meeting on the sale of land in Pleasanton Township that is now leased as farms. Current lessees will have for first chance.
9. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. Next regular meeting December 5th at 7:00 p.m.
