REGULAR JUNE 6, 2005 MEETING - (Approved July 2, 2005)

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ATTENDENCE:
THE REGULAR MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIR B. WARE AT 7:OOPM IN THE PLEASANTON TOWNSHIP HALL. THE COMMISSIONERS WERE WELCOMD AND NO VISITORS WERE PRESENT.

B.WARE, J.CRAMPTON, D. MCNEILLY, S. HANSON, B. LEDFORD, J. MATHIEU
N. GIRVEN, ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

MEMBERS ABSENT:
NONE: ONE VACANCY

VISITORS:
NONE

AGENDA:

THE AGENDA WAS PASSED OUT AND A MOTION TO APPROVE WITH AN ADDITION (COMMISSION VACANCY)WAS MADE BY S. HANSON, SECONDED D. MCNEILLY. ALL AYES.

MAY MINUTES:
THE MINUTES FOR THE MAY 2, 2005 REGULAR MEETING WERE REVIEWED AND A MOTION TO APPROVE AS PRESENTED WAS MADE BY D.MCNE1LLY, SECONDED S. HANSON. ALL AYES.

NEW BUSINESS/ CORRESPONDENCE:
A. THE CHAIR HAD 2 POTENTIAL TRAINING SESSIONS OFFERED MTA AND LORMAN IN GAYLORD AND TRAVERSE CITY. DATES WERE IN AUGUST.

B. A SURVEY WAS RECEIVED FROM THE MANISTEE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION. CHAIR HAD FILLED OUT MOST OF IT. HOWEVER, E-MAIL ADDRESSES AND OTHER INFORMATION THAT WAS FOR EACH MEMBER WAS A POTENTIAL PROBLEM. THOSE THAT HAD E-MAIL CAPABILITY AND DESIRED TO BE ON GAVE HIM THE INFORMATION. THE PLACEMENT OF ZONING APPLICATIONS, ALONG WITH FORMAT WAS DISCUSSED.

C. THE HAZARDOUS MATERIAL EXPENSE RECOVERY WAS REVIEWED AND A MOTION TO APPROVE THE ORDINANCE FOR
THE TOWNSHIP AND TO HAVE PUBLIC HEARING WAS MADE BY J. MATHIEU, SECONDED D. MCNEILLY. ALL AYES.
NEXT MEETING JULY 5 WAS APPROVED FOR THE HEARING ALONG WITH THE ANNUAL AND REGULAR MEETING.

D. THE VACANCY FOR THE COMMISSION HAD BEEN APPLIED FOR BY ONE PERSON WITH THREE MORE ASKING FOR INFORMATION . IT WAS DECIDED TO PLACE A NOTE IN WITH THE REQUIRED NOTICE FOR THE HEARING, GIVING A JULY 24
DEADLINE.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. S. HANSON REPORTED THE WEBSITE WAS MOVING ALONG, THE MAY MINUTES WELL BE THE NEXT STEP ALONG WITH ZONING ORDINANCE. THE ZA WELL FINALIZE. THE SECRETARY WELL GET MAY MINUTES TO OUR CONTRACTOR.

B. THE MULTI-JURISRICTIONAL EFFORT MOVES ALONG WITH 2 VISITS. ONE TO VILLAGE AND OTHER TO THE TOWNSHIP. ALL OF THE UNITS SHOW INTEREST AND VILLAGE SAID YES TO THE PROPOSAL. THE EFFORT IS HOPED TO BE COMPLETED BY YEAR END

C. THE FOLDERS WITH THE COMMISSION BYLAWS AND POLICIES ADOPTED IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS WERE PASSED OUT. WHEN A MEMBER LEAVES THE COMMISSION, THE FOLDER WELL BE PASSED ON TO THE NEW PERSON.

OTHER BUSINESS/ON GOING BUSINESS:
A. ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: THE ZA REPORTED THAT THE BRISBIN LAND USE PERMIT HAD BEEN DENIED AND A ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING WILL BE HELD.
THE COMMISSION REVIEWED THE 4 NEW PERMITS RECEIVED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
THE ZA ALSO ASKED ABOUT STATUS OF RAISE, CURRENTLY AT THE TOWNSHIP BOARD.

B. SEWER UPDATE:
THE NEXT SEWER MEETING WTLL BE HELD JUNE 18, AT 7:OOPM AT THE PLEASANTON TWP. HALL.

WITH NO FURTHER BUSINESS NECESSARY, THE MEETING ADJOL RNED AT 8:50PM. NEXT MEETING IS THE ANNUAL
MEETING WITH ORDENANCE HEARING AND REGULAR AGENDA.
